MURDERU.US

Murderu (or Murderu.us, or Murderuus, or Murderous, or whatever) is an on-line community formed around XMPP and IRC and run entirely on free software and hosted on a Capsul VPS.

1. As in any centralized community, server administration can take action against users when they want to and for any reason, including that we just don't like you.
2. Do not break United States law. Also don't break your local law. We care way less about your local law though, provided you aren't breaking United States law.
3. Measurements are never to be conveyed or represented by the United States Customary System (USCS), dates are never to be conveyed as month-day-year, and times are to be conveyed in 24-hour format, please.

#subgeneral and #media are general chats nominally centered on text or media respectively though in reality they're just two parallel general chats. Murderu shares much of its staff with, and runs communications for Tebibyte Media.

Discord sucks. Matrix sucks. Bug us if you want us to bridge somewhere else.

In 2020 it was a Discord guild named Papa Franku's Hentai House. murderu.us was registered September 2021 and the IRC server was established January 2022 in order to justify giving money to Capsul along with rebranding the Discord guild. We demoed a Matrix bridge and took it down because the server was too resource intensive, all the clients sucked, and we didn't really like the clientele. We demoed XMPP and kept it, and eventually it replaced Discord. This whole time Murderu has just been a bunch of stuff for which Trinity foots the bill, it might have some years of history but there's no clique or exclusivity so don't feel weird about just joining today or a year from now.
